It was a quiet, overcast early August morning on the Flint River in Madison County, Alabama, when a beautiful blue heron decided to drop by. The scene that had already mesmerized me with its cool tranquility on an already warm day. So, I composed to include the rushes, half-submerged limbs, quietly flowing water and the heron.
